Yorkshire Tamil Friends is a non-profitable, non-political, cultural organisation for Tamil people living in the northern part of England particularly Yorkshire. We have absolutely no following to any particular religion, country, or political organisation.
We have ambitions that our children and community should understand, learn, and preserve the rich heritage of Tamil language and culture, and in order to achieve that , the group works hard to achieve this via various cultural and social activities.
We actively support cultural and social integration within the Tamil and other communities within Yorkshire. All people of Tamil origin living in and around Yorkshire irrespective of the country of birth are welcome to join our group.
Tamil language and culture unites us all as a group with no barriers and prejudice. Anyone who is interested in our language and culture are welcome to be part of our group.
We don't tolerate any racial, hatred or harmful views within the group and would take appropriate steps needed.
The group does not
control any monetary funds as a non profitable organisation. Any events that is organised by this group would have transparency in funding collected from the
community. All efforts would be put to avoid using plastics in events and extra money saved would be used to help charities in Tamilnadu and United Kingdom.
